Spisko vs Listonic: a free alternative that tracks your pantry

Looking for a Listonic alternative? Spisko is a free shopping list app with no ads and a pantry behind it: what you buy goes into it, and it tells you what's running low before your next trip. Here is how the two compare, feature by feature.

Spisko and Listonic, feature by feature

Feature Spisko Listonic
Price Free, with no ads; Spisko Plus is US$1.89 a month or US$16.99 a year on Google Play Free with ads; Premium is $15.99 a year on the US App Store, with monthly and lifetime options
Shared lists, updated live Yes: a shared space for up to six people is free; with Spisko Plus, changes show up live and a bar shows who's shopping right now Yes: shared lists that sync as they change, with notifications
Sorted by aisle Yes: twelve aisles, filled in for you, in each store's own order Yes: grouped by aisle, alphabetically or in your own order
Works offline Yes: open, tick off and add with no signal; changes sync when you're back online Yes: the app works offline and syncs when the connection is back
Barcode scanning Yes, free: scan to add an item or to tick it off Partly: Listonic's own comparison calls its barcode scanning partial and not prominently documented
Recipes and meal planning Yes, with Spisko Plus: import a recipe from a link or pasted text, see what is missing, put it on your list or print it. No meal-planning calendar yet An AI assistant inside the app suggests meals and recipes
Works with your AI assistant Yes, with Spisko Plus: connect Claude, or any MCP client, and talk to your list and pantry Voice input and an assistant inside the app; nothing about connecting your own AI assistant on their site
Platforms Any browser, installed like an app on iPhone, Android and desktop iPhone, Android, the web and Apple Watch
Languages Six: English, Spanish, French, German, Serbian and Russian Forty-two, per the App Store listing
A pantry that fills itself as you shop Yes: finish a trip and what you bought is in your pantry, with low-stock flags and restock suggestions for the next list Not supported: Listonic's own comparison says its pantry tracking is a general list, with no stock status

Checked on 5 November 2026 against listonic.com, its own app comparisons and its US App Store listing. An X means their own material shows the feature isn't there; "Not listed on their website" means none of it describes the feature, so the app may still have it. If something here is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

  • You add items by voice, or want meal ideas from an assistant inside the app.

Where Spisko is the better choice

  • You want the list to remember what you bought: your pantry fills itself and tells you what is running low.
  • You want no ads, and barcode scanning, sharing and aisle order per store free.
  • You want to talk to your list from your own AI assistant, Claude or any MCP client, not one inside the app.
  • You want a shared space with accounts of your own and admins who decide who is in.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move my lists from Listonic to Spisko?

As text: copy your items out of Listonic, one per line, and paste them into a Spisko list. Spisko shows what it read, links what is already in your pantry and adds the rest, an amount in front included ("2 milk"). There is no direct import from a Listonic account. Your pantry then builds itself from the first trip.

Does Spisko track prices like Listonic?

No. Spisko tracks quantities, not prices: how much of each thing you have, how much you like to keep, and what each trip bought.

Is Spisko really free?

Yes. Shopping lists, the pantry, sharing with your household, aisle order, barcode scanning and offline use are free, with no ads and no card.
